Life Story for
Beverly Jane Vardi (nee/maiden name Greenberg):
Beverly Vardi, age 75, of Hackensack New Jersey died Friday July 6 at Englewood Hospital.
Born February 24, 1943 in Coney Island, New York, Beverly was an excellent student, and graduated magna cum laude from Brooklyn College and then went on to receive her Ph.D. in developmental psychology from Yeshiva University. Beverly had a very productive career with the Teaneck school system, and then went on to work as a private consultant. She loved all children, especially her grandchildren.
Beverly was a kind and generous friend, and enjoyed dining out, the theatre, the ballet, as well as concerts and the opera. She was always very artistic, and was extremely prolific over the last few years, recently winning a few juried art shows. Beverly was also active in a current events group, and cared very much about the world around her. She had a sharp wit and a dry sense of humor, and always loved a good debate. She will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her sister Sheila Trohatos, her son Gregory Vardi and his wife Margaret Drudy, her daughter Danya Sclar and son in law Gary Sclar, as well as her four grandchildren, Arielle and Zachary Sclar and Allison and Megan Vardi. Additionally, she is also survived by her two nieces and nephew.
Family and friends will gather to remember Beverly on Friday July 13, 2018 at 1:00pm at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus New Jersey.
