Sanford “Sandy” Fox, age 75, Township of Washington, passed away June 11, 2018. Beloved husband of Gerie for over thirty wonderful years. Devoted and proud father of Justine, Heather Weiss (Marshall), Kelly Scolnick (Brian), Elizabeth Levy (Steven). Loving grandfather of Eric, Nicholas and Aiden.
Sandy was born in NY, NY and lived in Williamsburg before moving to Lodi, NJ. Brother of Steve Fox. He graduated Lodi High School, class of 1961. He was a self made man who worked his way through college. He earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Newark College of Engineering and then a MBA from Rutgers University.
He began his engineering career at Uniroyal and then Honeywell. Here he started a long successful career as a sales executive. He worked at Itel, Tandem, Unisys and other technology companies.
Sandy thrived on work, from delivering the evening newspapers on his bicycle to his retirement career at the new MetLife Stadium. For five years he was a Guest Services agent working his sections for all NY Giants and NY Jets NFL home games, concerts, and more. Best of all he worked at Super Bowl XLVIII!
Sandy was an avid cyclist and jogger. He studied finance and liked to travel. On weekends he loved to spend time in NYC, and drive and hike through the Catskills Mountains.
Sandy’s charisma and energy will be missed by his family, cousins and friends. He was a member of Temple Beth Or, Township of Washington and Lodi Order of the Moose #1971. Services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 1:00 PM at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Fresh Air Fund, freshair.org.
