Life Story for Nicholas Zislis

Nicholas Zislis, 70, lost his battle with cancer on the morning of May 1st, 2018 in New York City.
Nicholas was born on May 26th, 1947 in the city of Chernovtsy, Ukraine. He attended local schools and received a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
In 1989 Nicholas, at the age of 42, moved the family to the Bronx in New York City and started his new life as a proud American. He learned English, taught himself computer aided design and became an engineer working at various companies where he used his natural engineering talents to design everything from sound-proof buildings to automated sorting conveyors used by Home Land Security at JFK airport.
In addition to finding unique solutions to real world problems, Nicholas enjoyed reading, following financial markets and politics and traveling the world. He will be remembered for his sharp mind, his great sense of humor, love for his new homeland, the United States of America and extreme devotion to his loving family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Ann, his son Michael(Julia) and his grandchildren Daniel, Eli and Adrian.
